Vanguard U.S. Dividend Appreciation Index ETF (CAD-hedged) seeks to track, to the extent reasonably possible and before fees and expenses, the performance of a U.S. equity index that measures the investment return of common stocks of U.S. companies that have a record of increasing dividends over time, which Index is hedged to the Canadian dollar. Currently, this Vanguard ETF seeks to track the NASDAQ US Dividend Achievers Dividend Achievers Select Index (CAD-hedged) (or any successor thereto).
In order to achieve its investment objective, Vanguard U.S. Dividend Appreciation Index ETF (CAD-hedged) employs a "passive management" - or indexing - investment approach designed to track the performance of the NASDAQ US Dividend Achievers Select Index (CAD-hedged). This Vanguard ETF invests primarily in a U.S.-domiciled Vanguard Fund that seeks to track the NASDAQ US Dividend Achievers Select Index.
