* TD debuts new ESG ETFs. TD Asset Management Inc. on Dec. 1 launched three new Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The TD Morningstar ESG Equity Index ETFs were built to provide investors with similar exposure to broad market indexes while investing in best-in-class companies driving positive change.
TD Morningstar ESG Canada Equity Index ETF (TSX: TMEC), TD Morningstar ESG U.S. Equity Index ETF (TSX: TMEU), and TD Morningstar ESG International Equity Index ETF (TSX: TMEI) are designed to track a large and mid-cap index in their respective region that includes companies with higher ESG ratings relative to their peers.
* Manulife launches five new “Smart” ETFs. Manulife Investment Management announced on Nov. 25 the debut of new Smart exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The three Canadian fixed income ETFs and two equity ETFs will provide investors with the opportunity to access the growing popularity of the ETF structure while taking advantage of Manulife’s investment expertise with active quantitative strategies.
Manulife Smart Dividend ETF and Manulife Smart U.S. Dividend ETF aim for a steady flow of income and long-term capital appreciation by investing in a diversified portfolio of dividend paying securities.
Manulife Smart Short-Term Bond ETF, Manulife Smart Core Bond ETF and Manulife Smart Corporate Bond ETF seek to earn the highest level of income consistent with the preservation of capital by investing in a diversified portfolio of fixed income securities.
