Capstone Asset Management Inc. on Nov. 3 debuted two new mutual funds and sister ETF series offering broadly accessible biblically-informed investment options.
Capstone Biblically Informed Canadian Equity Fund (TSX: BIVC) aims for a positive long-term return through a combination of capital gains and dividend income by investing primarily in common shares of Canadian companies listed on a Canadian stock exchange that carry on businesses that are, in Capstone's view, not inconsistent with Biblical values. Similarly, Capstone Biblically Informed U.S. Equity Fund (TSX: BIVU) invests primarily in common shares of U.S. companies listed on a U.S. stock exchange.
BMO Asset Management Inc. on Oct. 24 announced the launch of BMO Broad Commodity ETF (CBOE CA: ZCOM), which aims to provide a transparent and efficient way to diversify a portfolio without trading individual commodities.
The fund tracks the Bloomberg Commodity Index Total Return, primarily through the use of commodity-linked derivative instruments that provide exposure to the constituents of the index, and the reinvestment of any excess cash in money market instruments, fixed-income securities, underlying funds, or similar financial instruments in order to replicate the performance of the index.
The Securities and Investment Management Association (SIMA) on Oct. 22 announced investment fund net sales and net assets for September 2025.
Mutual fund assets totalled $2.489 trillion at the end of September, up by $75.6 billion, or 3.1%, since August. Mutual fund net sales were $3.8 billion in September.
ETF assets totalled $663.8 billion at the end of September, up by $33.7 billion, or 5.3%, since August. ETF net sales were $12.4 billion in September.

Fidelity Investments Canada on Oct. 15 announced the launch of two new equity funds and sister ETFs.
Fidelity Global Small-Mid Cap Equity Fund and ETF Series (FGSM) aims to achieve long-term capital growth by investing primarily in equity securities of medium-, small- and micro-capitalization companies located anywhere in the world. It uses a combination of fundamental research and quantitative approach in the construction of the portfolio.
Fidelity Multi-Alt Equity Fund and ETF Series (FMAE) aims for long-term capital appreciation and reduce overall portfolio volatility and correlation to major equity markets. It offers a single-solution to access Fidelity’s liquid alternative capabilities.
Manulife Investments on Oct. 15 debuted its Manulife Global Equity Class ETF Series (CBOE CAN: MGEQ), offering investors access to Manulife Global Equity Class, subadvised by Mawer Investment Management. It aims to provide investors exposure to an unconstrained global equity portfolio with maximum flexibility that is positioned with the goal to be resilient in a variety of different market environments.
CIBC Asset Management Inc. (CAMI) on Oct. 9 announced index changes and name changes to certain CIBC ETFs, effective on November 1, 2025. CAMI said it is changing the underlying index of certain CIBC ETFs from an index provided by Morningstar to an index provided by MSCI or FTSE. See the CIBC press release for information on funds whose underlying indexes have changed.

Global X Investments Canada Inc. on Oct. 8 announced the launch of four ETFs. Units of the New ETFs trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Global X China Hang Seng TECH Index ETF (TSX: CHQQ) offers Canadian-listed exposure for the first time to the Hang Seng TECH Index – considered China’s flagship technology benchmark – with exposure to companies involved in financial technology, cloud computing, autonomous vehicle development, e-commerce, and more.
Global X Silver Covered Call ETF (TSX: AGCC) seeks to generate monthly cash distributions by writing covered call options on a portion of the fund’s silver exposure. The fund offers direct exposure to silver bullion performance, with U.S. dollar risk hedged back to Canadian dollars with the objective of capturing the movement of silver without worrying about currency swings impacting returns.
Global X 1-3 Year U.S. Treasury Bond Index ETF (TSTX), and Global X 20+ Year U.S. Treasury Bond Index ETF (TLTX). The funds aim to provide investors with access to short- and long-duration U.S. government bonds. Offered in CAD, CAD-hedged, and USD units, TSTX tracks the ICE US Treasury 1-3 Year Bond Index to provide exposure to short-term U.S. Treasury bonds. TLTX tracks the ICE US Treasury 20+ Year Bond Index, with exposure to the long end of the U.S. Treasury curve.
