Invesco’s new low-volatility U.S. ETF. Hoping to cater to more conservative tastes, Invesco Canada has launched its PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility (CAD Hedged) Index ETF (TSX: ULV). The fund gives investors exposure to 100 stocks from the S&P 500 Composite Index with the lowest realized volatility over the past 252 days. It’s rebalanced quarterly.
Sun Life launches asset allocation portfolios. Available only through advisors, Sun Life Global Investments launched its Sun Life Granite Managed Portfolios, which offer five diversified mutual fund asset mixes ranging from conservative to growth. Each portfolio of 10 to 15 Sun Life funds is regularly rebalanced in response to prevailing market conditions. The portfolios are also available in T units to allow for steady cash flow.
